For ages birth to 18 months. Spend the afternoon with Linda Rose looking for tiny bits of spring greenery. Come in a front pack, backpack, stroller or just walk. Registration is required.
Spend the morning looking and listening to the sights and sounds of nature in the preserve as you walk the trails with Linda Rose. Binoculars helpful. This walk qualifies for the Walking Stick Program and lasts about 1 ¼ hour. Registration is required.
For ages 3 to 5 years. Join Linda Rose as you walk the trail looking for and learning about this majestic bird that frequents the big pond daily. Registration is required.
For ages 18 to 36 months. Join Linda Rose as we explore the woods. Bring your shovels, buckets, spoons, whatever as we dig in the soil to see what is there. Registration is required.
Join Linda Rose as we walk under the light of the “Pink Moon.” This walk will last about 1 to 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Registration is required.
For youth ages 12 to 17 years and older. Join Linda Rose while we learn about Ohio’s amphibians and why they are so important to our environment. Wear old shoes or boots. Registration is required.
For ages 5 to 12 years. Join Linda Rose as we explore the preserve for the presence of salamanders and other amphibians. How do you locate them and tell their differences? Registration is required.
Join Linda Rose as we explore the trails to appreciate what our earth has to offer. Please bring an old shoe as our final stop will be at the compost pile to make an “Old Shoe Garden!” This walk will last about 1 to 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Registration is required.
Join Linda Rose for an afternoon of gathering, preparing and eating some wild edibles. All supplies provided. Bring your creativity for a fun-filled hour. Registration is required.
